DIY Level: Easy (No Soldering)

Don't waste money on a silencing box.
Do it yourself (DIY) and upgrade your ASIC Miner.

ASIC miners too loud? You do not need an expensive all-in-one enclosure. You only need a few key industrial parts: Fan Simulator and Silencer Duct, and you can reduce noise from 85 dB to 45 dB at a very low cost.

Essential DIY Toolkit

Jinglemining provides tested industrial-grade retrofit parts with assured quality.

CORE PART

Fan Simulator (Universal)

Available in Square, Flat, or 4-Pin types. It simulates the stock fan speed signal, bypassing the boot check for various control boards.

Miner Silencer Kit

Professional Silencer Duct. Filled with acoustic cotton to physically isolate fan noise. Fits standard 120mm fan mounts. Better cooling than DIY wooden boxes.

Fan Speed Controller

Fan Speed Controller. Use with a high-power external negative-pressure fan, adjust airflow based on ambient temperature, and balance silence with cooling.

Why is DIY the best choice?

Cost comparison with other noise-reduction solutions on the market

Ready-made silencing box

$400+
  • Expensive
  • Bulky, high shipping cost
  • Decent results

Water/Oil cooling retrofit

$1,500+
  • Hydro Cooling Extremely expensive
  • Maintenance is difficult (must handle coolant)
  • High risk of voiding warranty
Technical Principle

How does the simulator work?

When you remove the stock fans on an Antminer S19, the control board detects RPM at 0 and triggers a "Fan Error" alert, forcing the miner to shut down.

PWM Signal Emulation

The simulator acts like a signal generator. It connects to the fan header and continuously sends a standard PWM pulse signal, so the board thinks the fan is spinning at 6000 RPM at full speed.

DIY Modification Steps

3 Simple Steps to Silence Mainstream ASIC Miners at Low Cost

Step 1: Remove Stock Fans

Power off the miner. Remove the stock high-speed fans (usually 120mm or 140mm) from both ends. Keep the screws and metal guards.

Step 2: Install Simulator

Identify your fan header type (Square/Flat/4-Pin). Plug the Jingle Fan Simulator securely into the control board fan ports.

Step 3: Connect & Start

Attach the miner to the silencer duct. Ensure it is sealed tight to prevent air leakage. Connect power and start mining in silence.

DIY Modification FAQ

Knowledge Base: Home Mining

For home miners, the deafening 85 dB noise of an ASIC miner is often the biggest hurdle to residential mining. Many resort to spending a fortune on bulky, ready-made silencing boxes or risk their equipment with complex, expensive hydro-cooling setups. But there is a smarter, highly cost-effective alternative.

In this Jinglemining DIY Silent Mining Guide, we show you exactly how to use industrial-grade Fan Simulators and professional Silencer Ducts to drop your miner's noise level down to a library-quiet 45 dB. It requires zero soldering and carries absolutely no risk of liquid leaks.

For just around $80 to $120, a fraction of the cost of traditional enclosures, you can easily bypass the "Fan Error" boot check on mainstream models like Antminer and Whatsminer. Build a safe, highly efficient ASIC Miner Silencer system yourself, and enjoy both high profitability and home tranquility.
